Sherry started working at the University of Illinois in May 1998 and has been with the College of Education since 2000. In that time she has worked for ERIC Clearinghouse at the Children's Research Center and, most recently, with the Student Academic Affairs Office. Sherry joined SAAO in January 2007 as the secretary for the Undergraduate Programs where she is responsible for multiple tasks, ranging from scheduling advising appointments for students to organizing Freshmen Orientation. She really enjoys the students that come into SAAO. In her personal time she loves to spend time with her son, Tyler, and watch the ILLINI!

Debra has been with the College of Education since 1989. During that time she has worked with the Center for the Study of Reading, Word Processing Center, Technology Resources, Office of Educational Technology (OET), and the Office of Chief Information Officer. She joined Student Academic Affairs February 2008 as Format Checker. As Format Checker, she is the primary reviewer of thesis and dissertation manuscripts.

Evelyn Grady
Office Support Specialist
Evelyn has been with the University since July 1989 and Student Academic Affairs since July 1993. She has shown her commitment and dedication in serving as the College Graduate Programs Secretary, working with the Associate and Assistant Dean for Academic Affairs, Graduate Departments, Graduate Students, and campus units. She also serves as secretary and works with the Assistant Dean for Diversity and Equity. Evelyn is very active with her daughter, church and family. |

Nila Jefford
Admissions and Records Officer
Nila has been with Student Academic Affairs for nearly 20 years. Her dedicated and impassioned work ethic keeps students registered, participating in honors programs, and College Faculty and Administrators informed so they can do their jobs. Her family keeps her busy when not in the office. Nila's giving nature keeps her painting, shopping, and baby sitting for her children and grandchildren. When not busy with them, she can be found in her garden or relaxing with a favorite television show.

Heather joined Student Academic Affairs in the Spring of 2006 after leaving her position with the Bureau of Educational Research in the College of Education. Her work at SAAO centers on the maintenance and development of a student information database, generate a multitude of reports for her office, the College and the Departments, and web site development and maintenance. When Heather isn't on her computer, she can be found with her face in a book and a cat on her lap.

In the Spring of 2006, Kathy joined Student Academic Affairs after leaving her position with Curriculum & Instruction. In our office, she wears multiple hats which involve being Office Manager, sitting on various Undergraduate and Graduate Committees, working closely with the six academic departments in the College of Education, and providing support to the Deans for Academic Affairs. In her free time, Kathy likes to soak up the sun while reading a book or riding her motorcycle and spending time with her husband and son.
