Ron Jacobs, professor in human resource development in EPOL and director of the International Programs Office, has been elected president-elect of the Academy of Human Resource Development (AHRD).

He will begin his term as president-elect in March 2012 and will assume his duties as president in March 2014. With over 500 members, AHRD is a global organization made up of, governed by, and created for the Human Resource Development (HRD) scholarly community of academics and reflective practitioners.

The Academy supports four refereed journals: Human Resource Development Quarterly, Human Resource Development International, Human Resource Development Review, and Advances in Human Resource Development.

AHRD also supports three annual research conferences in Asia, the U.S., and Europe, in partnership with the University Forum for Human Resource Development.
