College ranked in top 25 education graduate schools by U.S. News and World Report

The College of Education ranked No. 22 overall in the 2013 U.S. News & World Report’s Best Grad Schools in Education list, one number higher than last year’s list, which is compiled after a rigorous review process by the publication.
"The College's high ranking exemplifies the quality of our programs and the dedication of our faculty and students," said Dean Mary Kalantzis.
In addition, all of the College’s ranked programs placed in the top 10 of their respective specialties: Educational Psychology (4), Curriculum and Instruction (6), Special Education (9), Elementary Education (10), and Secondary Education (10).
According to U.S. News & World Report, graduate programs at 280 schools granting doctoral degrees were surveyed in fall 2011 and early 2012; 238 responded, and 238 provided data needed to calculate rankings based on a weighted average of 10 measures. All schools are listed on the publication’s online directory.
