The College of Education continues to celebrate our researchers and the grants they secure, usually after a highly competitive and vigorous application process. One research grant the college recently received is from the Postdoctoral Research Training Program in the Education Sciences. The $659,375 grant, titled “Assessing Complex Performance: A Postdoctoral Training Program Researching Students Writing and Assessment in Digital Workspaces,” has a goal to provide research-related experiences that will prepare the fellows to become well-rounded researchers who are fully engaged in the academic professional life. The principal investigator of this winning grant is William Cope, research professor in EPOL. Co-investigators are Hua-hua Chang, professor in Educational Psychology; Sarah McCarthey, professor in Curriculum and Instruction; and Katherine Ryan, associate professor in Educational Psychology.
