Liv Thorstensson Davila will discuss in this presentation her research trajectory, focusing on four in-depth qualitative studies on multilingual immigrant and refugee students' new language learning and use in school that have spanned regional and international borders. The presentation will highlight her current research study on how adolescent Congolese immigrant and refugee youth articulate identities and new learning in an English as a Second Language class semantically.
