How might the experience of graduate school students be internationalised using online learning? Professor Peter Kell has been undertaking a Fulbright Fellowship hosted by the College of Education at the University of Illinois (Urbana-Champaign) to investigate this question. One objective of the research is to explore opportunities for a collaborative approach within a consortium of international universities to develop an internationalised graduate student experience. This presentation will describe and discuss shifts in the nature and character of internationalisation, graduate programs and many of the contemporary policy settings that promote and facilitate international collaborations. The presentation will also offer opportunities for participants to contribute ideas, introduce questions and propose directions on how collaborative programs could be developed to internationalise the experience of graduate students.
