EPS 199: Culture and Community: Influences and impact on P-16 Australian Education

This course will explore the differences and similarities between the education system in Australia and the US. The study tour will provide the opportunity for Illinois students to observe the differences in schooling options in three states and one territory in Australia, as well as teacher preparation programs at major universities. Locations include Melbourne, Sydney, Alice Springs, and Cairns.

Study tour costs are projected at approximately $5,000 and will include round trip airfare to/from O’Hare and within Australia, housing, some meals, program excursions, and international insurance, and are subject to change pending final program, exchange rate fluctuations, and the number of participants.

$500 Scholarships will be available to all College of Education student participants.
