On-Campus Programs - Master of Education (EdM)
The on-campus Master of Education (EdM) programs offered by the College of Education are designed to meet the needs and interests of students who anticipate working professionally in an educational field, such as teaching, administration, counseling or curriculum development, and for well-established professionals looking for additional training. Many topical options provide students with educational possibilities suited to a range of career paths. Some EdM programs provide broad knowledge of a field of study, whereas others are highly specialized.
It is possible to complete EdM on-campus programs in one calendar year (two semesters and a summer). For international students in particular the shorter duration of the one-year programs make them significantly less expensive than the two-year programs that are typically offered in the United States. Potential students who are interested in one-year programs should check to determine if completion within twelve months is possible.

Human Resource Education Programs
The course requirements for the courses offered by the Departments vary. However, the Departments have developed various EdM streams that require the completion of mostly eight, but in come cases nine, four-hour courses. Some of these courses are core, while others are elective. The following streams may be of a particular interest to international students.

It is possible also to enroll in a general interdepartmental Master of Education (EdM) program, which does not require the completion of any core courses, and may consist only of eight elective four-hour courses.

On-Campus Program Tuition
Based on 2008-2009 figures, fulltime international (non-resident) student tuition is $21,714.00 for the Fall/Spring academic year and $3,141.00 for the Summer Term. Tuition is subject to increases in subsequent years. In addition to tuition, students are also required to pay fees, and educational and living expenses (such as course materials and room and board). Funding
On-campus Master's of Education students self fund their graduate education either with personal resources or resources provided by their national governments or non-government organizations.
