Step 14: Using Synchronous Space

This section requires course access. Do not begin until you receive confirmation from your TA that your first course is open.

Note: If you are a Global Campus student, your courses might not use Elluminate regularly. It is crucial to have an understanding of how the software works, however, as it is used in HRE 495: Capstone.

Once you complete this section, you should be able to

• Access and participate in the synchronous sessions
• Manage Elluminate concepts such as person-to-person chat
• Access the Elluminate archives

As part of the course activities, you will be required to participate in weekly synchronous sessions. This section describes how to access and utilize the Elluminate software used for these sessions.

A practice class will be held one week prior to the starting date of your first class. During the session, you will have the opportunity to test the software used for your course. You will also get a chance to meet other students in your cohort and the HRE Online Staff. Access is gained through the "Launch Elluminate" link from your HRE Online course.
