Writing Assistance/Consulting

Online graduate students at Illinois can obtain assitance to help improve their writing and reading skills by using the Writers Workshop, a unit of the Center for Writing Studies. The Writers Workshop is staffed by experienced writers and is provided by the university as a free consulting service. Their staff can provide:

• Assistance in helping your refine your ideas for a course paper
• General assistance with your approach to writing
• Consulting services at various stages of a writing project (whether or not it's for a course)
• Strategies for improving graduate-level reading skills
