Carol Packard receives award from College of Medicine

Carol Packard (Ph.D. Candidate) has been named the "2006 Academic Professional of the Year" by the University of Illinois College of Medicine, where she works as the Associate Director of Clinical Affairs. This year, she wrote and received two grants to develop cultural competence and global health initiatives for the medical school. As a result of this work, several medical students will be doing clinical work in underdeveloped countries. Additionally, she developed a new online global health course for the college.
