HRE Department hosts international seminar for SK Group of Korea

From July 10-19, 2005, the HRE Department hosted the Global Human Resource Development (HRD) Professional Development Seminar for 28 HRD managers from SK Group of Korea. SK Group is one of South Korea’s five largest companies.

The seminar focused on advanced HRD theories and best practices in competency-based HRD, leadership development, talent development, and organization development. The participants attended seminars in Champaign, Chicago, and St. Louis.

During their stay in Champaign, SK managers met with Jesse Delia (University of Illinois Provost), Charles Stewart (Associate Provost for International Programs), and other campus administrators. Peter Kuchinke (Associate Professor) directed the program, with assistance from Seok-Young Oh (Ph.D. student).
