Have A Seat! Learning What Children Know Through Play

Champaign , USA

This webinar will provide a context for seeing authentic assessment as the means by which we get to know children and foster their development and learning.

Speaker Information:

Kristie Pretti-Frontczak

When we want to understand what children know and can do, we often turn to tests and other conventional assessment practices. However, what really allows us to get to know children, is when we sit beside them and play. This webinar will provide a context for seeing authentic assessment as the means by which we get to know children, and foster their development and learning. Recommended practices and research on how to assess children during play will be provided.
