2010 Graduate Student Conference

Call for Proposals

Conference Purpose

We invite you to participate in the COE Graduate Student Conference in an effort to promote an inclusive, cross-departmental research forum for graduate students. The overarching purpose of the College of Education Graduate Student Conference is to build a community for education within the college that crosses departmental boundaries, promotes dialogue, and encourages collaboration. The COE Graduate Student Conference seeks to promote inclusiveness, nurture enthusiasm for research, and provide outlets for high quality research. Submissions such as term papers/projects, research specialization capstone projects, early research projects, doctoral dissertations, independent research, and other scholarly work are all welcome.

Graduate students at all levels of scholarship are encouraged to apply.  Proposals may be submitted for individual and/or co-authored papers, symposia, and poster sessions.  Other alternative formats are also welcome.  Symposia that bring together multiple perspectives on one educational issue are especially welcome.

All proposals require an abstract of 250-400 words, and between 3-5 keywords (http://education.illinois.edu/frp/search) that best describe the content of the paper; references are not necessary but are welcome.
