Registration & Proposal Submissions
Conference Registration & Proposal Submission Instructions
There are two steps involved to register. Only after completing Step 1 and Step 2, will you be able to make a submission to the conference. NOTE: Please make sure you complete Step 1 and Step 2 in one sitting, otherwise information WILL NOT be saved.
Step 1: Creating your Account in the Conference System
- Go to http://conftool.education.illinois.edu/gsc2012
- Click ‘Register new’ and fill in your personal information along with preferred Username and Password.
- Check off the box at the bottom of the screen if you want to receive an email with your login information.
Step 2: Registering for the Conference
- Log in with your ID and password you created in the previous step to access the main screen. To register, select Register as Participants from the main screen.
- You will be prompted to select your status. Make a selection and click on Proceed to Step 2 button.
- On the next page, you will see a number of events/items from which you can select. As for role(s), you can select multiple options. Please disregard ‘Miscellaneous’ text field at the bottom of the screen. Click on Proceed to Step 3 button where you will be able to check and confirm all your entries.
- Check off Register Now button to complete your registration. A confirmation email will be automatically sent to you.
Step 3: Submitting Proposals
- Select Submit Contribution link from the main screen.
- Make sure you select the appropriate submission type from the drop-down menu.
- Insert author information and submission details. Selected submission types will have different word count limits. Please make sure you check the guidelines. It is highly recommended that you compose your abstract on a Word program and copy-and-paste to the system.
- Provide three keywords from the list and the methods that best suit your manuscript. If you have any inquiries for the committee and/or chair, you may use the last text field for this purpose. Click on Proceed button.
- The next page will ask you to upload a file. For your submission(s) you are only required to provide your abstract. Simply click on Save Submissions, Upload File(s) Later link.
- If you click on Show User Account Details link from the main screen, you will be able to check the status of your submission(s).
