Denise Crews
Clinical Assistant Professor
Biography
Denise Crews is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Community College Teaching and Learning (CCTL) program. She was born in southern California. She earned a Bachelor of Science in 1991 and a Master of Science in education from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale in 1997. She completed her doctorate in the HRE Department at UIUC in 2003 (specializing in Community College Leadership).
Denise was recognized as a Carl W. Knox Fellow in 2001 at the University of Illinois. In 2002, she participated in the Oxford Round Table in Oxford, England, regarding civil rights. Currently, she is the Associate Dean for Educational Programming at John A. Logan College. Before joining the administrative team at John A. Logan College in 1997, Denise taught special education in the public school system.
