  3. Motivation and commitment to off-campus teaching.
  4. Innovative approaches to teaching off-campus students.
  5. Effective use of technology and media when used to teach at off-campus sites or through distance education instructional delivery methods.
  6. Creativity in course development and instruction.
  7. Sensitivity to the advising needs of off-campus students.
  8. Influence on the quality, extent and development of the department's Academic Outreach program.

Her excellence is demonstrated through the online students' comments about her commitment, her passion for teaching, and the impact she makes on the online students:

Tatiana Camargo noted:
“Dr. Ellinger has inspired students to continue their learning in the HRD/OD field with passion and energy.” Furthermore “Her credentials, knowledge, and abilities to deliver the OD online course have served as a motivator for many students to take the OD path in their careers and apply the content right away in their work.”

Martha Boggs states:
“
I am convinced my services have been better informed and of greater worth to my employer as a result of Dr. Ellinger's instruction.”

Brian Brauer wrote:
“I have developed stronger and deeper skills that I use in my work place to plan, implement, and follow through on institutional change because of the standard and example set by Dr. Ellinger.”

Pam Hove mentions of her recent promotion “the concepts taught by Dr. Ellinger were instrumental in helping me negotiate the proper positioning in my current role.”

Finally, Kris Newbauer of Rotary International informs us that he was able to lobby his senior executive team to change the name of his department from Training Department to Learning & Organization Development Department to better reflect the field based on the knowledge and understanding he gained from Professor Ellinger's course.

The department is very proud of Prof. Ellinger's award and the commitment she demonstrates to online learners.
