The Human Resource division has established a national and international reputation for preparing expert practitioners, accomplished scholars, and informed leaders in a range of organizational and institutional settings. Through its various degree programs, the Division recognizes that the study of human resource development should integrate adult learning theory, economics, individual and organizational psychology, performance and instructional technology, and global cross-cultural studies. The mission of the Human Resource division is to prepare graduates who are expected engages in impactful and rigorous research, high-quality teaching, and informed service and outreach activities. In fulfilling this mission, the division supports and advances education by:
- Creating new knowledge to advance sound theory and professional practice and disseminate the information in scholarly outlets.
- Ensuring the development of future scholars, leaders, and reflective practitioners through meaningful advising, coaching, and mentoring activities.
- Providing formal and informal learning experiences that represent the most advanced set of understandings and practices.
