Ms. Jessica Barrientos (Dec. 2008 EOL Graduate)Jessica graduated from the EOL's Higher Education program in December 2008, and was quickly hired by the Illinois Community College Board. The announcement from the board reads, in part, "I would like to take this opportunity to welcome Jessica Barrientos to the ICCB in the position of Director for Academic Affairs. Jessica will be responsible for many facets of Academic programs including transfer program approval, co-coordinating the Illinois Articulation Initiative, and serving as the ICCB liaison to the transfer coordinators, as well as working with us on the College and Career Readiness project, to name a few....Jessica also holds a Masters in Higher Education Administration from the University of Illinois where she worked in the Office of Community College Research and Leadership," Brian Durham, Senior Director for Academic Affairs & CTE Illinois Community College Board.

Dr. Christopher LubienskiChris is studying the role of choice and competition in recreating the school system in post-Katrina New Orleans. Dr. Lubienski is working with other scholars across the nation in exploring the role of choice and competition in providing quality educational options that city. |
