Author and Unit Credits
The author and unit credits are separate parts of the page, but authors often confuse them.
Unit Credits
Unit Credits are in the lower left of the page and are the contact information for the unit. They should not be the contact person for the individual author, but the official contact information for the unit.
Unit credits are only edited in the properties files and are not affected by any of the properties on an individual page.
Most authors will never need to change the properties used to create the unit credits section. The following properties in the folder properties file are used to make the Unit Credits: Unit Name, Unit Addess 1, Unit Address 2, Unit Address 3, Unit Phone, Unit Fax, and Unit Email. If all of these properties are left empty, they will be will all be inherited. If any one of these properties is entered, none of them will be inherited. It is set up this way to avoid mismatching parts of two sets of contact information.
Author Credits

Author credits are at the bottom of some templates (standard and standard sidebar for example) and are used to indicate who is maintaining a the web page. There four parts to author credits:
- Maintained By. This line is uses the Author Full Name, Author Title, and Author Office to make a phrase such as Maintained by John Barclay, Webmaster, Office of Educational Technology. The Full Name need not be a person, it could be something like "EPS" as in the image above. Play with these 3 properties to change the Maintained By section of author credits.
- Author Phone. This is the author's phone or the phone number of the unit, if the author doesn't want direct phone calls.
- Last Updated. This is determined by the file modified date on the Content Document.
- Feedback Form or Email. The last line of the author credits will either be link to a feedback form or an email link. Either will use the author email property for the email address. A feedback form is given when the Use Feedback Form(s) property is set to yes. An email link is given if all of the following are true:
- use feedback form property is set to no
- hide email property is set to no
- email address property is populated
