Counseling Psychology

Our APA accredited program gives a scientist-practitioner orientation to counseling psychology, takes a critical, thoughtful attitude toward professional activities and views research and practice as interdependent and complementary. Our students engage in research, a fundamental and integral dimension of their graduate education, and also in practice that includes a range of interventions that assist individuals, groups, and organizations to more effectively and responsibly facilitate development, with emphasis on multicultural competence. Most of our students gain valuable experience as well as funding through teaching assistantships.
