CV
My research interests center on the effects of aging on various aspects of cognition including memory, learning, language processing and attention. Within this framework, I am particularly interested in how knowledge and other crystallized abilities can contribute positively to multiple levels of memory representation. Additionally, in my involvement with the Senior Odyssey Program, I am interested in how participation in a cognitively engaging lifestyle can mitigate declines associated with normative aging.
In my free time, I enjoy reading, visiting new places, cooking, and playing and listening to music. I’ve played guitar and drums in several live bands over the last 7 years; I love all kinds of music, from jazz to electronic to folk.
