Research Opportunities Office (ROO)
The primary purpose of the Research Opportunities Office is to enhance College of Education faculty prospects for securing campus and external research funding by informing them about funding opportunities, enabling research collaboration with colleagues inside and outside the College, and supporting grant proposal writing and submission.
It also provides limited assistance to graduate students seeking external funding for pre doctoral and dissertation research. See Funding & Grant writing for more information.
ROO staff provide up-to-date electronic funding announcements as well as resources on this web site. ROO performs targeting funding searches, using on-line funding resources as well as its on-site library of materials, and conducts grant writing seminars. The Associate Dean for Research and Administration and ROO team also offer one-on-one consultation with individual faculty by appointment.
ROO publishes Research Highlights, a publication series highlighting current research of College faculty, and sponsors the Bureau Seminar Series, which features College Distinguished Scholars, Faculty Fellows, and renowned external speakers. It also develops and maintains the College Faculty Research Profiles.
