Office of School-University Research Relations (OSURR)

OSURR coordinates the placement of College of Education research projects in schools. All College of Education research projects in Champaign, Urbana, and Decatur School Districts must go through this office to comply with specific deadlines. The office also monitors and assists with the placement of research in other schools located in Illinois, other states and countries. OSURR staff work as a liaison between the researcher and the District, assisting with informed consent, confidentiality, and rules of conduct. The OSURR office works with researchers from the College of Education only.

The office also serves as liaison between district personnel who have a need for consultation, research or evaluation, and faculty, staff, and graduate students who may provide those services. OSURR provides information and resources to school districts on research-based practices.

Researchers in schools are sent a survey at the end of the year to complete reporting of your activities in schools and needs for the coming year.

OSURR maintains a record of all school research from the College of Education, acknowledges districts' contributions, and seeks to establish and maintain positive collaborative relationships with school districts across the state. In addition our office manages:
